About 2016 Hyundai SONATA Hybrid
These include a hybrid-specific grille, front and rear bumpers, front fenders, front and rear lights, chrome side sill moldings, Hybrid badging and new eco-spoke alloy wheel designs.
The heart of the 2016 Sonata Hybrid is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission, housing a 38 kW electric motor and clutch where the torque converter would normally be found. Total system output is 193 horsepower. The new Sonata Hybrid's revised transmission, more powerful electric motor, and larger lithium-polymer battery pack improve fuel economy over the 2015 model.
Inside, the distinctive instrument cluster features a 4.2-inch color LCD multi-purpose display to provide drivers with additional information about the hybrid system's operation. All 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrids also feature satellite radio and Bluetooth phone connectivity with phonebook transfer and voice-recognition.
Available upgrades include an 8.0-inch navigation system with downloadable apps, HD radio and an Infinity premium audio system with Hyundai's next-generation Blue Link telematics.
Hyundai engineers also implemented many active safety technologies for the 2016 Sonata Hybrid to assist drivers and help prevent accidents. These include Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and a Lane Departure Warning System.
